Transactions overview - Orenda API

Every movement on an account — payments in and out, card spend, and fees — is a transaction. Use this section to build ledgers, activity feeds, and statements. Transactions are settled activity. For payments still in flight (pending, or held for compliance review), see payment requests.

Reading a transaction

The useful fields at a glance:

Field	Meaning
`direction`	`IN` (money received) or `OUT` (money sent)
`amount`, `currency`	What moved
`beneficiary_details` / `Payer`	Who was paid / who paid
`CardAuth`	Present on card spend — merchant name, billing amount, FX rate
`isFee`	`true` when the transaction is a fee charge
`uniqueRef`	A stable reference you can show to support
